The main concern that has developed inside me for the upcoming generation and mine is how traditional media and social media have been focusing heavily on reality stars and delinquent behaviour. Firstly, I want to emphasise that this is a personal opinion and only something I am heavily concerned about. Nevertheless, when I used to read articles, posts, and just in general news on traditional media outlets, it became apparent that we are currently focusing on excessive radical and delinquency behaviour. As a result, I have felt uneased about the future because we are now allowing individuals with severe disorders to influence our psyche, such as sociopaths, psychopaths, megalomaniacs, narcists, etc. The article I read was on a pop site, which mainly focuses on this type of news, but we all know that these sites today are getting more clicks and views than ever before. Due to the attention these sites are receiving, I warn about digesting this content because of the false information. For example, some weeks ago, I read an article about young adults having a list of the number of individuals they have slept with. Additionally, the majority of these adults went to an extreme through objectifying the individuals. Modern society has been attempting to reduce objectification of other individuals and misogynistic, racial, and other reductive attitudes. However, the agenda to reduce such attitudes and behaviours will be unsuccessful if we do not hold our media outlets accountable for their content. To be honest, my main concern is how these specific individuals were labelling men and ridiculing their health. To elaborate, most of these individuals portrayed men as delinquents and meant most of them deserved such treatment. As an individual who is heavily concerned about men’s health in the current society, and can see the ramification of such behaviours through the growth of the red pill movement, MGTOW, and the extreme right. Also, I acknowledge that women have been facing these issues for years, decades, and even centuries, which is injustice. On the other side, if we desire a more conscious and responsible society, we cannot exhibit the same behaviours we attempt to relinquish. As mentioned, there are negative consequences of ridiculing men’s health and general mental health. The solution is not something I have currently, but I suggest that we as individuals become more conscious about our media usage. As an individual who choose a field that focuses on the psyche, mind, and unconscious, I am more concerned about our direction. The realist might be the biggest fool of them all because they have closed themselves off, categorised, and limited themselves. Firstly, realists are unaware that they have only developed their perspectives through primarily negative experiences, which they label as fact and something that applies to everyone. Secondly, their experience is not factual and does not apply to everyone because they are not omnipotent and often have made several mistakes throughout their lives. Finally, due to these mistakes, realists develop a more pessimistic view of everything and often perceive opportunities as scams, infantile, and all of the above.
The funniest part about realists is that they are often mentally and psychologically weak. Due to the lack of characteristics required to pursue one’s desires are the correct intentions, faith, hope, belief, persistence, courage, and resilience, which realists have lost because of their “experiences”. However, realists lack the intelligence to comprehend that these factors are required when pursuing one’s desires, especially when circumstances are not the most ideal or negative. For example, an individual is only courageous due to their fears because courage is just an individual who faces their fears, despite being fearful, anxious, scared, etc. In other words, these characteristics only exist because of the law of duality or dualism. The law of duality or dualism refers to a belief from Hindu and Buddhist philosophy, which conceives reality as composed of two contrasting parts. For example, how would an individual know about happiness without sadness? They exist because of each other, maybe an oversimplification. Based on personal experience, many realists have been conditioned by their environment to perceive reality as harmful, dangerous, and full of misery. The main issue with realists is that they believe what has happened to them will happen to everyone else, which is not valid. For example, when I left my previous occupation, many of my colleagues meant that I should have pursued a degree or further education in my field. However, I am not the most obedient individual and chose the opposite because I intuitively felt I was in the wrong field. The funniest part was that route has taken me on a process of individuation, or as Joseph Campbell calls it, the hero’s journey. Honestly, I have experienced more than I would have if I listened to my previous colleagues. My journey has been filled with positive and negative experiences, but I would not have exchanged any of them for anything else. Due to these experiences, I can finally live a life where I can authentically express and do things without being dominated by negative biases. Last of all, to the individuals who are not willing to listen to the realists or societal norms, I applaud you for doing something many of us have stopped because of other’s opinions, thoughts, and beliefs. The most vital thing is to keep faith or hope when circumstances are not ideal and remember the law of duality. Also, remember to show the realist the middle finger and keep pursuing your desires. Christ consciousness is a theory that I stumbled upon in the book Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and has taken a couple of years to comprehend thoroughly. According to Tolle, Christ consciousness is a higher level of consciousness and is not connected to Christianity or other religious beliefs. However, Christ consciousness is a level of consciousness, which Jesus might have embodied.
Disclaimer, Tolle has not provided any empirical evidence or performed or referred to any modern scientific research, which impacts Tolle's credibility. On the other side, Tolle has a comprehensive understanding and knowledge about various spiritual teaching. Specifically, Tolle has presented profound knowledge about the various eastern philosophies and other spiritual teachings. For example, Tolle studied and displayed knowledge about Zen-Buddhism, Hinduism, and to an extent Christianity. Based on personal interpretation, Tolle's reference to Christianity can be comprehended as an attempt to be more relatable to the western-world population. The definition of Christ consciousness is a more developed consciousness, which operates differently from ego consciousness. For example, Christ consciousness focuses on high levels of empathy, sympathy, and service to the collective instead of the individual. Additionally, Christ consciousness is a comprehensive understanding of the physical reality and the formation of the universe, which is primarily a comprehension that everything and everyone is a part of yourself. As a result, the individual who can achieve such a developed consciousness will have less or no prejudices about everything and everyone. Also, the individual will have achieved a higher capacity to love unconditionally. However, Christ consciousness does not mean the individual does not have boundaries or can feel any "negative emotions". Based on personal interpretation, Christ consciousness is fifth-dimensional consciousness, which the new ager has changed in order to be more modern and relatable to the current progressive world. Nevertheless, how does one achieve such a high level of consciousness? Well through the process of individuation and becoming more aware of the Self. The process of individuation can be described as a transformational process where the collective and personal unconscious are integrated into consciousness. On the other side, the Self refers to an archetype where an individual has unified both the unconscious and conscious. According to Tolle, achieving this type of consciousness requires an individual going from continuously being dominated by their intellect and thoughts to just being present in the moment. As a result of being present, the higher level of consciousness can naturally emerge without any effort or actions, which is the opposite of what our modern world has been condition to think. The Self, fifth dimensional, and Christ consciousness might be all the same because of the disproportionate similarities. For example, the Self, fifth dimensional, and Christ consciousness refer to the interconnection between everything and everyone. In other words, it is referring to Unus Mundus, which originates from the Latin language and is further used by Carl Gustav Jung for his work in Analytical Psychology. Unus Mundus is a Latin term for one world, which is referring to underlying unity between all. Additionally, Jung has further developed the term through the proposal that the psyche is beyond the individual and is the universe itself. As mentioned, I think Tolle used Christ consciousness to make his teachings more relatable to the western world. Christ Consciousness is not about ego-driven desires and is a broader understanding of the functions of the universe and the individuals in it. According to Tolle, the crucifixion of Christ is an excellent example of the definition of Christ Consciousness, which was his ability to forgive the human race whilst in the process of being crucified. On the other hand, Tolle also acknowledged that Christ had such a high level of consciousness that he understood that they only were unconscious. Hence, he said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". To clarify, I am not a condoner or an advocate of most religions and probably will never be.
